I chose to use bubbl.us and gliffy to explore the differences between mind maps and flowcharts. Mind maps are simply a brainstorming tool. You have a central idea and you build on it. On the other hand, a flow chart is a thought out process of events.
I used a mind map template on bubbl.us to sort the different rocks I have to study for an upcoming exam in geology. It really helped to visually break down the different fossils. Mind maps and flow charts will be a great tool to teach my future students to help them with organization skills.
